Another year is in the books. Let’s take a look back on what we were up to…..
January/February – well there isn’t much to do in the dead of winter in Minnesota. So we decided to makeover the living room (we sold all the furniture and painted) and painted the bathroom.
In March we bought our record console and I turned another year older (boo).
April also took us to the Mad Men premiere party at Jax in NE.
May gave us live rockabilly music! We went to see the Reckless Ones and Big Sandy at Lee’s Liquor Lounge.
June – my niece graduated high school! We went to the Back to the 50’s car show in St. Paul and did some thrifting/antiquing in Hastings.
July brought celebrations at Lake Minnetonka with family and a dinner celebrating Grandma and Grandpa’s 80th birthdays! August brought more antiquing and a trip to see Mad Men actor Vincent Kartheiser in Pride and Prejudice at the Guthrie.
September we celebrated Lucas’ birthday with friends around a fire and his participation in the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride.
October hosts my favorite holiday! We had a Halloween party (the theme was “The Movies”) and Julie and I went for tea at the Mad Hatter Tea Room in October.
November and December – into the cold dark abyss we go in Minnesota. In November we went to a gala and December brought holidays and family time and new furniture. And my new aluminum tree!
So there is our little year in review. Also to note Lucas started a new job at Room and Board in October just a couple miles from our house (score!). He is really happy with it. And all the pups are still going!
