We headed out to VLV on Wednesday (it didn’t ramp up til Thursday night) . We got to Las Vegas at 830 am…… yeah not many people up at 830 am in Vegas but hey we were excited to get there! VLV is at the Orleans hotel – where the heck is that you ask? It’s just off the strip near the Palms. When we got to the Orleans we ate breakfast at one of the restaurants that was similar to Perkins or Denny’s (The Orleans boasts 8 or 9 restaurants, an arcade, movie theater and bowling alley). Luckily they let us check in early to our rooms (check in was 3 pm and they let us in around 10). We spent a couple hours freshening up and ironing clothes. This was my Day 1 outfit – Vamp top from Pin Up Girl Clothing, a Bettie Page skirt and a straw bag from the Target dollar section.
Julie’s brother Kevin and sister in law Julie arrived around 3 pm and we headed to the Neon Sign Boneyard. It was Julie’s dream to go here from the second she heard about it. The Neon Sign Boneyard houses many neon signs from old Vegas hotels. Here are some photos taken by Julie to enjoy:
After the Neon Boneyard we came back to the hotel, ate dinner at a Mexican restaurant in the hotel and hit the sack – we had been up since 330 am!
